A former journalist, Tracy is the author of “The Rock-and-Roll Brontës” series,

which update the stories of the Brontë sisters with a British Invasion-era twist.

It consists of four novels: Mr. R (a reimagining of Jane Eyre), Restless Spirits

(a ghost story inspired by Wuthering Heights and Agnes Grey), Windfell Summer

(a psychedelic trip into The Tenant of Windfell Hall), and Nowhere Girl

(an original novel inspired by an unfinished Charlotte Brontë manuscript).

Tracy has also written a young-adult, collective biography of

Black American poets and a play about the Beatles

that was performed in Liverpool in 2021.
